Awesome food and so busy, but so worth it! Even have free Mimosas on Sunday when you order one of the specials. Mine was the quiche, and hubby had the crab cake eggs benedict. Great food!

Went for breakfast on our last morning there; I am so sorry that we didn't find this place sooner! The omelettes were delcious! I often stay away from ordering omelettes because they are usually overcooked, but the one I had was perfectly moist and delicious. My husband ordered the grits; they were better than most of the grits we get at home in Georgia. They were very cream with a good bite. Definitely not instant or quick cooking. We all ordered pancakes...Oh the pancakes!! Don't leave without trying them! Each pancake is the size of the plate, but they are very light and thin; quite possibly the best pancakes I have ever eaten. The only thing that disappointed was the homefries. They were tasty, but I thought they could be crispier. Overall, a delicious breakfast. We will DEFINITELY be back next time we are in the area!

I am on the fence with four stars. A sold 3.5 stars but four stars, not quite there. Michael's isn't the most modern restruant. When you see the inside it looks like grandma's living room. The place is fairly clean. The servers are a little rough, they made me feel rushed. They are not really attentive to you either. I had eggs/crab Benedict. To my surprise it was different and good. Basically it is a blue crab cake served on top of an English muffin with ham and scrambled eggs and a delicious hollandaise sauce. This is served with home fries and toast. The blue crab cake was good i wasn't expecting much for $7.50 but it was defiantly a good price for the quality and amount if food. Overall good food, amazing prices and huge portions.

I took my car for an oil change at the place next door so I thought I would kill some time and get breakfast at Michael's Cafe. The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but I was surprised that it was clean and cute in the inside. I walked in and one of the servers yelled out to seat anywhere I wanted. My drink order was taken right away (they don't offer any fresh squeezed juice), but I had to look around for my server to finally get her attention to take my breakfast order, there were only 3 other tables seated and several servers just chit chatting by the bar. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, ham, cheese grits and whole wheat toast. My order came out quickly, the ham was very thin and had a funny texture, the toast was small and cheap, and I don't understand why diners can't shred real cheese over grits instead of slapping a pre-wrapped slice of processed cheese on it, also how difficult is it to get quality bread for proper toast?! Service was not attentive nor friendly, I found Michael's Cafe to be mediocre in quality, I would not return.

I decided to mix it up and go somewhere I hadn't been in a while and ended up at Michaels café 2. I came in an B-Lined to the back table against the wall out of the way from others eating. I like my privacy and like to take food pics where people aren't staring at me. The service was great, Fast, friendly and polite. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, Rye toast , Hash browns and Sausage links. The food was hot & Tasty but a little on the greasy side but not too bad to stomach. During my meal I started to see dust floating from the ceiling down on my table and when I looked up I was right under the air vent that looked like it hadn't been replaced in years. It was Black and filled with dust-See picture. They need to do some house cleaning because you never know when someone else like myself will be locked and loaded with a camera snapping pics. I would come back in the future just to see if the vent is cleaned.

The grits were good however the mushroom & ham omelette with béchamel sauce was inedible to me because of way too much garlic (yes, there is such a thing as too much garlic!). When I mentioned this to the waitress she told me point blank that there was no garlic in the dish - even though I had pulled a few diced chunks of garlic from the dish. That is the worst - when people at the restaurant deny that something you're allergic to (& can taste & see in the dish) is even in the food. Now I feel like a jerk AND I don't get any breakfast. Classy Michaels II. Great customer service. Very disappointing. Never again.

I was hungry and needed to wait in the area for a client, so I stopped here based on other reviews figuring it would be the 3 Bs in Spanish 'bueno, bonito y barato.' I barely even got one B out of that: barato. I've actually paid less, for better. Lets start with the service. The waitress didn't even look at me, not when she told me to sit wherever I like, not when she took my order, not even when she brought me my food with my check at the same time. She never bothered to check on me and ask how everything was (and considering that she walked by several times, that's kinda lame) and she obviously was only interested in chit chatting with the older gentleman that seemed to be regulars at the establishment, considering I overheard them telling her how she isn't 'nice to some people.' I guess I was just 'some people' to her. Apart from the lackluster customer service, when you look around the place you can see the food is prepared half-haphazardly. After she took my order, I went to the restroom where I saw her putting in the toast for my sandwich. Right by the bathrooms. Ummm, shouldn't that be taken care of in the kitchen? And the food...well let's just say the turkey tasted funny to me, so I had to pull it off my sandwich and just eat the parts that were edilble. I ended up filling up on fries for the most part since the sandwich itself was so blah. I thought, maybe this place is better for breakfast and I can give them another chance...then I thought, why the hell would I want to come back and risk wasting money and getting shitty service and meh food again. So I'd say, don't bother. You can do better.

LOVE this place! Daily specials are great! The owner is French and any of the sauces he makes are great! I wish you would make the supreme sauce more often. :-)

This place is nothing fancy but if you want a terrific breakfast or brunch this is it. For $7.50 you can order the breakfast special and eat some of the best blueberry pancakes, blue crab Benedict , omelets fluffy and stuffed with unique fillings. Eggs , hash browns , and choice of bagel topped w/ cream cheese, Lox , onions , lettuce and tomato. The list goes on. Come early because they can run out of popular orders. It so worth trying.

Came in here for lunch while my car was getting repaired next door. Got the Athena Omelette with tomatoes, spinach, and feta, hashbrowns, and toast. ERH-MAH-GERRRRRRD! SO GOOD! The hashbrowns tasted fresh...like they were made in fresh oil and everything. The omelette was fresh, fluffy, and definitely not skimpy. The waitress was perfect in checking in on me. I will definitely be back here and recommend it to people. This is a great and affordable little diner in Pompano.
